Information you give me

If you contact me through the website or by email, I receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address and message. I use it to read and respond to your enquiry. My lawful basis is my legitimate interest in handling correspondence sent to me. I keep correspondence for twelve months after the last exchange, unless there is a reason to keep it longer.

If you sign up for my newsletter, I receive the details you enter into the MailerLite sign-up form, such as your email address and name if you provide it. I use these details to send you occasional book news and author updates. My lawful basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter or by emailing me. I keep your subscription details while you remain subscribed and remove them when you unsubscribe, apart from any limited record needed to respect your choice.

You do not have to contact me or subscribe. If you do not provide an email address, I cannot reply or send the newsletter.

Services used by this website

IONOS provides the website and its contact form. IONOS MyWebsite Now uses SiteAnalytics to produce website statistics and help maintain the site. MailerLite provides the separate newsletter sign-up form and manages the mailing list. These providers process relevant information to provide their services.

IONOS states that MyWebsite Now and its SiteAnalytics do not use cookies. If you follow the newsletter link to MailerLite, you will be visiting a page provided by MailerLite; its own privacy and cookie information applies there. If I add other tracking or embedded services to this website, I will update this policy and any required cookie choices.

MailerLite says that subscriber data for its UK customers is stored in the EU. You can contact me at the email above if you would like more information about how these services handle your data.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask me to restrict or stop using it. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@csbeasley.com.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, please contact me first so I can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

I may update this policy if the website or the services I use change. The date at the top will show when it was last updated.
